Bio

My name is Jesse McGibney, I’m 20 years old, originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and I’m currently in my third year of Illustration at Sheridan Art Collage in Oakville, Ontario.

I’ve been drawing my whole life, and hope to eventually find a career in the video game or movie industry as a conceptual artist. As you can see, most of my art is heavily inspired by computer games, comic books, movies, cartoons, and other nerdy stuff like that. I use mainly Photoshop CS2 and my 9x12 Intuos3 tablet for most of my artwork, a bit of Maya and 3D Studio Max for 3D goodies, and occasionally I’ll break out the good old fashioned traditional media if I’m feeling bored.

Along with school, I have two big personal projects. The first, and main purpose of this website, is Locust. This is my self published comic which I started about four years ago for no particular reason. It has since spun wildly out of control, into a monstrous epic that occupies a large chunk of my brain. I’ve made it into my own horrible little reality, which makes the real world seem full of gum-drops and rainbows by comparison.
My second project is working as a 3D and 2D artist for the popular Battlefield 2 modification “Forgotten Hope 2”. This is a historically accurate World War II video game that is the official sequel of our previous version on the Battlefield1942 engine. Please visit our website for complete information.

That about sums it up. I hope that you enjoy the contents of my website and if you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
